Warning signs
Fake jobs try to take your money or your documents. Be careful if you see any of these:
- They ask for a registration, training, uniform or "security" fee.
- The salary is much higher than other jobs for the same work.
- They want you to decide today, with no time to think.
- They will only talk on chat, never meet you, and have no real address.
- They ask for your bank PIN, UPI PIN or OTP.
Protect your documents
Never give your original Aadhaar card, passport or certificates to anyone to keep. Show the original, give a photocopy, and write on the copy what it is for, like "For job at ABC Hotel only".
What to do
- 1Do not pay. Do not share any PIN or OTP.
- 2Talk to someone you trust before you decide.
- 3On IndicJobs, tap Report on the job. Our team checks it.
- 4If you lost money, call the cyber crime helpline 1930 or report at cybercrime.gov.in.
