1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of IndicJobs, which operates the website indicjobs.com and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account, or by using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
These terms are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, and are published in accordance with rule 3(1) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. They do not need a physical or digital signature.
2. What IndicJobs is, and is not
- IndicJobs is an online platform where employers post jobs and job seekers apply. We are an "intermediary" under the Information Technology Act, 2000.
- We are not an employer, recruiter or placement agency, and we are not a party to any job, interview, offer or employment between employers and job seekers. Employers alone decide whom to hire and on what terms, and are responsible for their jobs.
- We do not guarantee that you will get a job or find a suitable worker, or that any job, employer or job seeker is genuine, suitable or will act as described.
- Any "Verified" mark means only that we checked some details a business gave us (for example its GST number or website) at a point in time. It is not a guarantee about the business, its jobs or its conduct.
3. Who can use IndicJobs
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract under Indian law.
- Employers must be a genuine business, organisation or individual hiring for real work, and the person using the account must be authorised to act for them.
- Placement or staffing agencies may use IndicJobs only if they hold every licence required by law and never charge job seekers any fee.
- You may not use the Service if we have previously suspended or removed you.
4. Your account
- You log in with your own mobile number and a one-time code. Keep your phone and codes to yourself. Never share a login code with anyone, including people who say they are from IndicJobs.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account and for keeping your information accurate and up to date.
- Employer owners are responsible for the team members they add and for removing access when someone leaves.
- Tell us immediately at hello@indicjobs.com if you think someone has used your account without permission.
5. Rules for job seekers
- Give true information about yourself, your work and your experience. Use only your own voice and your own details.
- Apply only to jobs you are genuinely interested in, and treat employers with respect.
- You never have to pay anyone to get a job through IndicJobs. If an employer or anyone else asks you for money, a deposit or documents such as your bank details or one-time passwords, do not pay, and report the job to us.
- Check the details of any job, employer, workplace and offer yourself before you travel, accept or start work. Meet in safe, public places where you can.
6. Rules for employers
When you post a job or contact a job seeker, you confirm and agree that:
- the job is real, available and accurately described, including pay, location, hours, food, stay and other benefits;
- you will never ask a job seeker for any money, including registration, training, uniform, interview, document or security deposits, and will never withhold their identity documents;
- you will comply with all applicable laws, including the labour codes (for example the Code on Wages, 2019, including minimum wages and equal pay), the Child and Adolescent Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, 1986, the Bonded Labour System (Abolition) Act, 1976, workplace safety and anti-harassment laws, and laws against discrimination;
- you will not post jobs for anyone under 18, and will not refuse or treat applicants differently because of religion, caste, gender, disability or any other ground prohibited by law, except where the law allows a genuine requirement of the job;
- you will use job seekers' information (including phone numbers and voice recordings) only to consider them for your jobs and contact them about those jobs, will keep it secure, will not copy it into other databases or share it with others, and will delete it when you no longer need it. You are a separate data fiduciary for that information under the DPDP Act;
- if you post on behalf of another business, you have its written permission;
- the business details you give us (including GST number) are true and belong to you.
We may ask for documents to check your business, keep your jobs in review until we have checked them, and refuse or remove any job at our discretion.

8. Your content
- You own the content you add, such as your profile, voice recordings, job posts and messages.
- You give IndicJobs a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence, for as long as your content is on the Service, to host, store, process, display and share it as needed to run the Service and as described in our Privacy policy. - Anyone can report a job. We may remove or disable content, pause or close accounts, keep relevant records and inform the authorities, where we believe content or conduct breaks these terms or the law.
- We will act on orders from a court or an authorised government agency as required under Indian law, including within the time limits in the IT Rules, 2021.
- If we remove your content or suspend your account, you can ask our grievance officer to review the decision.
10. Fees
The Service is free for job seekers and will remain free for them. During our beta period it is also free for employers. We may introduce paid plans or features for employers in future. We will publish the prices and give you notice before any fee applies to you, and you will not be charged without agreeing to it.

- we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for loss of earnings, profits, opportunities, data or goodwill;
- our total liability to you for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or ₹1,000.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including for fraud, or your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
14. Indemnity
You agree to compensate and protect IndicJobs, its operator, staff and service providers against any claim, loss, penalty or cost (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your jobs or hiring decisions, your breach of these terms or of any law, or your violation of anyone else's rights.
15. Suspension and closing accounts
- You can stop using the Service at any time, and ask us to delete your account through the contact form.
- We may suspend or close an account, or remove content, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have broken these terms or the law, put other users at risk, or if we are required to by law.
- We may change, pause or stop any part of the Service. Where reasonable, we will give notice first.
- Sections that by their nature should continue (including 8, 12, 13, 14 and 16) continue after your account closes.

18. General
- We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for important changes, tell you on the site or by SMS before they apply.
