Start close to home
Most good jobs for cooks, drivers, helpers and technicians are found near where you live. Employers like people who can reach work on time every day. Start with your own area, then look a little further.
Good places to look
- IndicJobs: search by work and city, read every job in your language, and apply in one tap.
- Shops, hotels and factories near you: many put a "Help wanted" board outside. Walk in politely in the morning.
- People you trust: friends, family and old employers often know about openings first.
- Government job portals: the National Career Service (ncs.gov.in) lists jobs and job fairs for free.
Look every day, a little at a time
Spend 15 minutes each morning looking for new jobs. New jobs come every day, and the first people to apply are often called first. On IndicJobs, a job alert tells you when a matching job is posted, so you don't miss it.
